The Penn State Alumni AssociationWhat’s been happening: After receiving my PhD from Penn State, I had a two year postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Florida Department of Ophthalmology, and a 1 year postdoctoral fellowship in Ophthalmology at the University of California, Davis. I remained as a faculty member at UC Davis from 1977 through 1997, then became a Senior Research Investigator and the Anderson-Chenowith-Ross Visual Research Chair at Devers Eye Institute in Portland, Oregon from 1997 to 2008. In 2008, I became a Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, where I am currently involved in research, teaching and administrative duties. |
